The course Genes and Genomes in the tropics is part of the Infection Biology program of Karolinska Institutet (Stockholm, Sweden) and since 2000 is run in collaboration with the Makerere University (Kampala, Uganda). The course topics span from general overviews to more specific topics. Each year from 2007 the course will focus on specific topics.
